Just like on personality aspect, I review, does the site’s look and feel seem to match the subject matter, does the site align visually with the attended reader or market, and do you immediately get a sense of what the site is all about, could you easily see “about” and security information. On design and layout, I try to review are the graphics appropriate to subject of the site, are the graphics are attended for the intended audience, Are there graphics that seem superfluous or unnecessary, is the color scheme appealing and suggestion of the topic, is the layout cramped and too full or is there proper spacing and visual rest areas, Is your eye drawn to the most important elements? Do they then relate into the content. And the rest aspect will be explained later. I think this site doesn’t looks and feel seem to match the subject, because the color of the website is green. Since this website changes the design, I feel it doesn’t futuristic at all. On top left of the website, there is a picture with title “faces of Indonesia”, and if the link is accessed, there is an explanation about the theme of this website. The theme of the design is faces of Indonesia. I think, this theme doesn’t suit with this website that offer and sell technology properties. Despite the domain name of this website is bhinneka that is a logo of Indonesia, this will decrease the senses of technology appealing. But I can find the “about” in a second. I can guess that the “about” is on “help” button and when I open the profile of the designer of this website, I can look that the developer who makes this website. On design and layout aspect, this design has a graphics that is used to explain the website. That graphics are on the home page, in the first page roll, a big picture that explains the product. But there is unnecessary picture in the main page. Some ornament picture with distinguish model make it worst. But I appreciate about this website changing. The model changing makes the website can be accessed quickly than before. When we accessed this website with old design, this website consumes more memory than the new one and the old one has many advertisements with many flash file or animation file. The new layout is much better than before, because the new one has a block that the “special” product was shown. New design has a feature and it called “today’s on theater”. When I looked, this feature showed notebook parade that many notebooks are paraded on this block. The new one also has a block and it called “most popular search terms”. This feature can reference, when visitors visit this website and they are do not know what product they want. This design also does not have any space that too much wasting.

With the new design, the visitors can understand lot information on the first page. And when the visitor confused, they can looked for the menu. The menu can represent all products that are sold by this website. But when I used advertisement block program, two pictures on top on the first page is blocked by my program.

This company also one representative from ou country to join toys exhibition, which is held in Wan Chai market, Hong Kong. Beside that, they also follow many exhibitions in Indonesia, such as :

And if the customers need further information about the products or company, visitorscan contact the contact person from this company,using yahoo messenger. For you who want to shop online, there is a way to do online shopping, through this sites. Regards the process of online shopping is :

At the centre page there are information about the latestnews, about various products from the company. My first impression after visited this sites, this sites attractive enough for kids, with a lot of funny pictures,but still too plain, it’s becaused Wintoys only offered a little news for the visitors. Besides,the language seems alittle bit rude, especially at the part “silakan anda bikin account terlebih dahulu”. This sentence in my humble opinion, it will be better, if we change it with “Anda dapat membuat account terlebih dahulu pada situs kami”. The advantagefrom the main page of the sites is there are good search engine for the database, that is very complete and this could happen, because the main aim of this company is to reach customers from foreign countries, because there is a major tendency from customers to find quality products than good sites.

My opinion about the other pages are :

  • in the online shopping pages, there are 3 button that represent PDF, print and email. But the problem is the news inside those buttons are similar.
  • In the promotion page, all promotions available is not descriptive. It’s because the items they promote are put into a single image, without further notification about the promotion date and items description about all items inside.
  • about the store location page, this page is good enough with a grouping by city location and country. But it will be better, if there is an information about company image map.

A few suggestions for this sites are :

  • there are bilingual features for this site, because a lot of its customers are from foreign countries.
  • maybe this site can give an updated news about a wooden toys, available in Indonesia nowadays. A few tips about how to choose an educable toys, how to become a good parent,etc. Hopefully this can help increasing online visitors and also increasing new customers.
  • about the payment methods, perhaps the sites support payment via credit card or visa.
